Religion & Spirituality part I


Hello friends, now lets put some limelight on the religion and spirituality of the people living in mandawa ;) Mandawa is a small town that lies in the heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. It is known for its forts and havelis the persons firstly living there were  Bhojraj Ji Kasubsub's Shekhawat Rajputs,but on the oncome of britishers 
in India and East India company they have to migrate or change their religion to businessman since they were originally soldiers.People now living there mostly follow marwadi religion but due to poverty they have and had migrated to various locations in india but mandawa is a great tourist place to follow if you are interested in knowing
about Havelis and paintings of India do go to this place,i will tell you all the procedure to go their in my later post,

Marwaris are predominantly Hindu However, regardless of their affiliation, Hindu and Jain Marwaris mingle with each other socially. In some rare cases they share matrimonial relations and traditional rituals together.
There are also Marwari Brahmins like dadheechs, Shrimalis, Pushkarnas and Gauds. The Jat's have largest population in Marwar also the Sainik, Kshatriyas, Rajput, Clans of MandoreMarwar is the second largest population group in JodhpurMarwar.The major Mandorva Rajputs Surnames are KachwahaBhatiParihar (Pratihara), DeoraChauhanParmar (Panwar), SolankiTanwar, Sankhla,Rathore etc. Marwari's Marwar used to be a region of Rajasthan before independence of India, located in the central and western areas of the state and the residents of Marwar region were called Marwaris.The Marwar region includes the central and western parts of Rajasthan. The word Marwar is considered to be derived from Sanskrit word Maruwat, the meaning of maru being 'desert'.
